The ridge over the drivers visor is a rain deflector.

If these are all the same tank #3 would be the first, early no applique, #1 would be second, rebuilt with applique and #2 would be third.

The areas I focus on is that above the light you see two holes on the faceplate instead of a trapezoid cut into it.

No plate around the machine gun port.

And the weld seem is very different between the front and side hull plates joint.

This image shows the two small holes hiding inside that cut-out:


Pz IV E (brand new ??)

The thing that puts question marks in my head is the joint between the up-armoured sides and the up-armoured front.
In one of the images it is obviously and add-on plate on the front but the other image shows a smooth corner.The smooth corner looks as if the additional armour has been integrated in the hull front (which would mean that it is two different vehicles)
