Hi all,
we are looking for ways to expand our decal-range so I would like to ask you all:
what kind of decals would you like to see? scale, time-period, specific war, urban/cicilian etc. etc.; what is still unavailable from your decal-wish-list? Any suggestion is very much appreciated!
thanks very much in advance!
best regards,
Mark

Without a doubt , top of my list : 1/35 British Armour & softskin themes of 1939 to 1941.
We have already got four kits of the Bronco Cruiser A13, with an A10 on the way. Gecko have announced three A10s and an A9. We also have the AFV Club Matador early and the Miniart Dingo. Not to mention the Thunder Model and the IBG Scammell series and the Bronco and Mirror Models FAT vehicles.
Think of France 1940, North Africa 1940 to 41, Greece 1941. Lots of lovely colour schemes!

I would like to see more 70-90 US military 1/35 scale. There is a lot of new stuff on the way and more choices on vehicles like M1IP, M109 Shop van, M728 etc. I think these would be great.

Some 1930's British markings for the Hobby Boss Vickers Medium range. (they had some weird squadron designators.
Early war British for Scammells, softskin trucks and new cruiser tanks coming out. Both for France and the Desert
1970's British and US cold war MBTs Chieftain and M60A1/A3, also the FV 432's from that period.
Vietnam era M48's and M113's
Any of those would be great

I'm always looking for more AmTrac decals. Specifically the LVTP5/H6 and AAVP7A1 & RAM/RS.
Typically markings consist of little more than tac and serial numbers but I have a bugger of a time trying to match the fonts from various other sheets to match the USMC fonts.
The P5 is usually covered in bright yellow tac & serial numbers which provides a nice contrast to the overall green.
P7s are even simpler in that it is usually black tac & serial. Tac numbers are easy stencil style font but the serial numbers are in that distinct font that I cant match from other sources.
If its just tac and serial numbers, could probably do a whole platoon's worth on a single sheet.

Civilian commercial decals. Shop signs, advertisements, brewery for both trucks and a large sign that would cover most of a side of a building (this is my selfish request).
If you do it well you won't get rich but you will be busy printing. Good luck on your venture ! AND, please send Armorama pictures of your new releases !

Black and white U.S. Army bumper codes arranged in unit designations so I don't have piece together letters and numbers. There was an old sheet that just had the World War 2 U.S. armor divisions. All the unit Codes and sample USA numbers along with a selection of vehicle numbers.
Nothing specific just a rundown of units. When doing decals I once did a sheet of every major unit in Desert Storm. Just the codes.
I'm kind of sick of seeing the same half dozen tanks done again and again and the whole rest of the Army ignored.
Especially the reserve components!

How 'bout Central/South American countries?
Tons of American/European/Soviet aircraft and armor used over the years, throughout the continent.
A few examples:
Bolivia (Austrian SK-105),
Panama (DC-3),
Chile (Sherman, M24, M41),
Ecuador (2 ea, B-66 Douglas bombers seen on the Quito tarmac, late 70's, but not known if operational),
Argentina (AML 90),
Brazil (M-60, M577),
Peru (T-55, and the AMX 13 chassis that centrally mounts a Russian 122mm D30 howitzer, resulting in a self-propelled gun),
Columbia (M8 Greyhound and M-3 Stuart),
Uruguay (Israeli Ti-67 (T-55),
Honduras (Mercedes Benz Unimog),
Nicaragua (P-51 Mustang).

I have a few different ideas for new decal sheets.
Over the last few years there have been numerous releases of prototypes/concepts/paper panzers, etc, and typically these kits come with very generic decal options. The possibilities for these offerings are endless and I think MiniArt did a good job of providing some imaginative yet realistic decals for the T-44 offering. The markings could range from those seen at factories, production versions assigned to units, and even ones with captured markings or slogans. I know the ‘what if’ genre isn’t for everyone, but there are a lot of kits out there so it’s hard to ignore.
There’s three main groups for these decals:
Panzerwaffe 46’: The numerous offerings in this category include the Lowe, VK 3002, Jagdpanther II, Sturmmorser 28cm, Bar, Panther II, Geschutzwagen Grille, the entire E series, Maus, and Krupp Raumer. This could include factory markings (Wilder has a dry transfer sheet of German Factory Markings but it’s hard to come by)
Soviet: JS-4, JS-7, SU-101, S51, Object 268, Object 704, KV-5, KV-220, T-44/T-44M – Even some ‘what if’ markings for the new T-54-1, T-54-2, and T-55 releases. Possible markings could include a WWIII scenario or factory markings.
American: T-30/34, T-29E3, T-29E1, T95, T28, T-54E1, and could even include ‘what if’ markings for M-47/M-47E/M, M48, M103, M60 series in a WWIII scenario. Additionally, the few British vehicles could be rolled up with the Americans – i.e. the rare A39 Tortoise, FV 214 Conqueror MK. I, Conqueror MK. II, and the FV 215B(183).
There are some decal options already available for AFV’s in the Syrian Civil War, however, this could be expanded to include Iraqi, Kurdish, and other coalition AFV markings in the fight against ISIS. There are numerous possibilities within this category and could include Kuwaiti, Iraqi, and Saudi markings for M1 Abrams, Jordanian markings for Chieftains, and Saudi M2 Bradley markings. Decals covering AFV’s seen in the Saudi war in Yemen would open up a lot of possibilities as well.
Finally, I am a huge fan of Colin Gee’s Red Gambit alternate history book series, and I’d love to see some decals for the AFVs highlighted in that series. The main tanks in the series include the JS-III ‘Krasny Suka’, Tiger I ‘Lohengren’, and the Centurion ‘Lady Godiva’. There are plenty of AFV’s within that series that could be covered (T-44, T-54, JS-7, T-29 Chamberlain, Centurions, Pershings/Super Pershings, T-34/100).
I hope this helps.

With the new M37 and other Vietnam era trucks, maybe some markings for Trans, Supply and of course Engineer unit markings would be good. A lot of these trucks had colorful names and markings. Wayne

1/48 armour and vehicles is horribly underserved with decals. For MANY subjects, the only available AM sheet - if there is one - is Peddinghaus, and their decals often have inaccuracies. Like white British squadron decals get given a black outline.
I mean not just obscure subjects, but say you want British decals for Northwest Europe. For squadron markings you might be able to get a sheet of Fighting 48th which are OOP but the Parabellum store might still have them, or get large sized markings for 1/72. I could go on and on.
I know it's a niche scale, but I think there's a potential opportunity there, if there's some way to make a smaller sized production run practical. (Problem: given that 1/35 is well served for common subjects, how much demand at 1/48 could there be for the rare subjects that people might welcome at 1/35?)

1/35 LAPD decals, or ANY generic 1/35 police decals. There are NONE on the market. Some of us would like to build domestic-use MRAPs and other vehicles and mark them as law enforcement units. Please...pretty pretty please?

I second that!
What about Bundeswehr markings?
- License plates with individual numbers.
- MLC signs in black and yellow with individual numbers
- Tactical signs in grey and white with individual numbers.

Probably not many people looking for this, but I'd like markings for Japan Air Self Defense Force LAV in 1/35. Tamiya has at least two versions of the LAV with Ground Self Defense Force markings, but the Air Self Defense force also have a great number of these vehicles.

I would love some T-55/T-54 decals, maybe like the old

I think he's only interested in 1:1 scale, so hopefully would ignore the rest of us..

My one wish would be 1/35th markings for US Constabulary vehicles, uniforms, and planes. I have only ever seen one set for M-8 armored cars with a single option.

How about some simple lettering? Various sizes of A,B,C,D,E etc. Plenty of numbers out there but not many alphabets.
