Were you going to use the Desert Eagle antenna and mast update as well? There is a great walk around of the 2d online showing these fitted. I will have a look for it if you're interested.

I will be watching this build with great interest, as the rest of your builds.
In photo number 4 are you reffering to the tow horns?
Do you plan on doing antiskid surfaces and how?

Mikhail, that blade is mounted in place of the tow horns. They are not used together.

And, it is mounted on a '3', not a '2D'.

Still, first time I've seen a 3D with a dozer blade!
Here's a pic of the 2D with tow horns, notice the Academy ones seem much too large (I think...)

I wasn't planning on any anti-slip , I think it would be way out of scale.

I have the upper Hull assembled.

I painted the inner side of the wheels with a silver metalic to represent the wear from the guide horns.

That's all for today.

Donald, whose indy tracks are you using, I can't quite make out from the picture.? Are they plastic, resin, or metal? Thanks.
As for the anti slip it's not that difficult. I wrestled with this before building my Academy Gal Batash and tried several different methods, all of which seemed to out of scale. I finally settled on using baking soda. Working small sections, I painted the plastic with Tamiya clear gloss. Then, while the paint was still wet, dusted it with the baking soda. I let it dry thoroughly and fine tuned it by eliminating clumps or filling in sparse areas. It was very easy to correct mistakes as the baking soda was easily removed with either a stiff brush or by gently scraping the surface with an x-acto blade. Once I was satisfied I air brushed all the treated areas with Tamiya clear gloss to seal them. Paint and weather per your usual practice.

How much time do you have to work with the clear gloss, and did you brush it or airbrush (For the initial layer)? I have been wondering what to use as an "adhesive" for this technique, thanks for bringing this up.

Those are the new Wolfpack/DEF Model tracks, injection plastic and look pretty good, supposedly click together. Try HobbyEasy or Lucky Models.

It is applied with a brush and should stay "wet" during the process, hence just working in small sections. I also use Tamiya because if it turns out really awful all you need to do is spray it with Windex and it comes off clean.

Most Merkavas II Dalet I have seen use Batash tracks, so these would be the safe way to go.
If you need any kind of photos I can post some.

Thank you for the info, I had not thought of the Tamiya/Windex second chance factor, makes this a little less intimidating now.

I've been working on the turret.

I have the Legend Basket set, it looks really nice.
Here it's compared to the kit parts.
