David - I wish you success with this new venture. It's obviously a challenging business to be in these days with so many new folks getting into print publishing. And here everyone said the Internet was going to kill print.
John - I can understand your frustration with the slow pace of issues, but (in case you are new to the scene) this has been an ongoing issue with the magazine for many many years now. If you want start a separate thread that's fine, but clearly this is off-topic for what was posted.
Kurt - Wow I mostly agree with you. Shocker.
Staff - The fire is out. Seriously... it's out.
Lurkers - Any popcorn left?
Cheers,
Jim

Ladies and Gentleman:
David Doyle has taken on the book aspect of Ampersand, he has clearly spelt out that he has nothing what so ever to do with the magazine that appears to be the subject causing issues. As such please try to keep this thread on the specific subject. I do understand the anger over the magazine, but nothing said in this thread is going to achieve a resolution on that subject.
Your quite right, it was the personal attack and affront that got my hackles up.
It isn't needed on any thread or topic here.
I have every MMiR published and a very good magazine it was, when you could get it that is.
I too wish David Doyle much success going forward.
Have a great evening.
Keith

Lurkers - Any popcorn left?
Cheers,
Jim
Nope, I finished the last bag reading Kurts last answer.
Quite amusing if one is so inclined (black humour and all that )
The thread about wooden "armour" on Philippine armoured cars looked promising for a while, some funny comments in there, so if anyone still has any popcorn left please continue over to:

My comment/question about MMIR was in passing...wondering what will happen to them...to subscriptions...that's all.[/i]
That' what's confusing . . . David Doyle provided all available information about the magazine in the first paragraph of his 14 June, 1345 post and all available information about the subscriptions in his second paragraph. This was a good four hours before your post. I have to figure that you had read and understood what David wrote, so your request for more information about all of that, plus "No one yet has answered why the anemic release [of magazine issues]..." looked like you were after much more.

Not getting what you have engaged into a contract for is a breaking of said lawful contract and a customer you may be, but you have the legal right to answers should you so choose to ask.
A right to some answers, such as, when and how much am I going to be paid for my remaining subscription?
You don't have the right to answers to:
Why were the issue releases so spotty? (The original question, BTW.)
How did they get into such straits?
Why did they take subscriptions if they were failing?
And others that I've seen elsewhere.
Let's be clear: Learning about getting what is owed to you is fine, but only that, and once that issue is settled there's no reason to expect anything else, a burning morbid curiosity notwithstanding.
