Thanks Jerry & Phil, yes indeedy...
Some notes for the curious. Firstly very little went exactly according to plan with this sequence partly as the weather forced me to rush things too much - some things worked, others not so much but overall it’s the best I could do & next time it’ll be better. Secondly, while Mike only had to rescue a few photos in this sequence I’m co-crediting him with all of them because this is a team effort which wouldn’t have got this far if he hadn’t done great things with the earlier sequences & help motivate me to keep going. Thirdly the picture quality’s deliberately variable – some images got blown up along with the trucks to simulate eye-witness conditions. Lastly there’s one more sequence – Aftermath - to come in a few days before I pack the last boxes, sign off & move home so watch this space for one last time

Way too much credit given to me on this part of the series but thanks none the less. Great job Tim.

i don’t know who deserves the more credit, but to me it is a great work: idea, design, realization, production, post production.... just stunning! a great team work! and an inspiration to all of us.
may I suggest a sequence in b&w with a little more grain?
then on with the next project!
really, really well done!
ciao

Thanks Mike - the irony is that so much of your work on this is by definition invisible, that defines its excellence. Edo glad you like it – certainly I think there’s enough seen/unseen material for some scratchy monochromes & if the Post-Prod Mgr isn’t completely sick of the sight of this stuff, maybe post-Xmas we’ll boldly go there, I’ve really enjoyed this collaboration. But right now after 7 months and 191 photos later, I’m beat – maybe those of my approximate vintage won’t be the only ones to appreciate this golden oldie which I used to love & laugh about yesterday when I was young...

And so the final chapter...
Thanks for watching/enduring, as already mentioned we’re in process of temporarily moving home ahead of my wife’s operation so the next few months (while I go 12 rounds getting the internet connection switched) will be spent in quiet contemplation about some new project. Meanwhile Compliments of the Season to all, may you have a peaceful, enjoyable break & a Happy New Year. And now...the end is near...and so I face...the final screw it, here’s something useful about Diorama construction:

Tim you give a very unique quality to your figures. There is often something definitely above and beyond in their lifelike aura and expression.
The best to both you and your wife!

Hi Tim!
Yes, it's all about the "base," and this one must be GINORMOUS! Kudos to you and your collaborator as well. I really like the guys tipping the GAZ-67 back into action, and the last image of the worn and weary cleansing and tending to their wounds.
I hope the Mrs. has a speedy recovery, and much success with your forced relocation. Lol! Have a merry whatever and a bang-up New Year!💥💥💥💥💥
Looking forward to whatever you concoct next!
Cheers!🍺

Thanks so much guys & so says the Mrs, she’s amazed & tickled her foot’s known around the world - Jan 15th is surgery day, moving home next Weds. Meanwhile son Danny & girlfriend’s possibly somewhere over Colorado right now as I write, bound for NYC & then DC from Hawaii – Mike I told him to parachute you a decent bottle of beer i.e. Coopers Extra Stout, check out your back yard you never know – he was targeting anyone shovelling snow wearing a respirator. Nice soundtrack choice btw, Happy Xmas

Well Tim this has been a special event here.
Wild idea brought to "life" and actually completed on time, and under budget, too, right ?
Great viewing, and excellent production as well! (looking at you Mike )
Only the best for you and the lil' lady when the moment finally comes.
Sincerely Dave

Bravo good sir, Bravo! Thank you for the show!! Hollyweird has nothing on you (as far as talent goes). Your plastic people deserve the oscars and what not for sure.

A Foster's would be more than fine but I expect to get the "big can"!

Thanks Dave & Phil, I’ll have to work out some kind of VIP preview ticketing for stalwart supporters like your good selves for the next show.
Hmm interesting opportunity for some new Oscars categories, given few human males are likely to show up for the impending ceremonies. Quite a few of JR’s dios & figures would be likely to be in the groups of nominees for: Best Face/Make-up, Best Uniform/Costume, Best Animation, Special Achievement Award, Best Supporting Structure...how about a Shep Paine Award? We could even have a Ulix Award for...I’ve absolutely no idea.
Hi Mike (K) - Fosters yeech tinted soda water. I was actually addressing Mike (F) as Danny was likely overflying Colorado. however he’s possibly swinging your way on a later flight from DC to St Louis so paint a big X on your roof and a case of Coopers might make a repairable hole in it! Quick story (only amusing in retrospect), two days ago they were 30 minutes out of NYC bound for DC on the Greyhound when they were double (rebound) rear-ended right off the road by 2 B-doubles. Nobody hurt but it was like because they were getting out, the city was saying “Welcome to the Big Apple & have a nice day”! The gods of NYC were clearly unaware he’ll be back in Times Sq on NYE & paying his respects for a 3rd time at Ground Zero.
Can you tell I’m prattling on here to avoid packing the 121st box...?

I don’t mean to to exclude anyone else but the The Studio should hire Tim, Mike, Jerry and Nick, give them unlimited funds and then turn them loose with blades, paintbrush and camera.
The show would be off the rails.
Cue Ozzie, then cue ELP “Karnevil #9”
Thanks to everyone who puts a show on this site for us mortals.
