Ken - The miniart building was fairly straightforward to put together, apart from the usual windows & doors, just 8-9 pieces in total for the walls. The usual odd hole around the edges where the blade didn't want to go, but after filling, it was all good. Did have a few problems getting the finished building to 'sit' in the groove that comes with the street part, some of the moulded debris spills out into the groove & needs cutting out to allow the building to sit flush where it's supposed to be aligned. Nothing too dramatic & along with the street & fence (if you have the kit #36026) it was nice. Only thing I might suggest is to change the first floor segment that comes with the kit, & make your own instead. Looked around the net at other examples first, & most people seemed to do a better job in creating their own flooring with balsa etc... The kit part to me is too squared off & unrealistic for a damaged building...?
Here's a few more progress photos, these are the early street pics & weathering of the buildings interior. Airbrushed the brick walls of the building in various tones of orangey-brown , trying to avoid the standard 'brick red' that I usually find myself doing....

Then picked out various random bricks in different tones of the original colour before the usual weathering & filters were added.

Made a couple of wallpapers on the computer for the interior whilst painting the others one colour, before hairspraying, then adding the top coat in a different colour to chip/flake it away...quite a satisfying task...

Wanted the inside walls to look quite worn & weathered, so used a number of different products like AK's Slimey Grime & Wet Effects fluid as well as oil washes. Finally gave it all a dusting of AK's Pigment Rubble which is excellent for a dusty look. The room on the left will eventually have a soldier sleeping off the effects of the recently liberated alcohol his comrades are enjoying out in the street.
The car is a Simca from Tamiya, really small vehicle that was perfect in size to fit on here, didn't want anything too big obstructing anything... Spent a fair bit of time on this one, even the inside of the car, with all the personal items, boxes etc.. Unfortunately this would later all be mostly hidden by the canopy of the car's roof. Probably a few hours wasted....but at least I know it's there..
