The name of the thread includes 'heavy metal' and I presume that the Merkava IV fits into the 'heavy metal' category so go right ahead, fill our screens with Merkava IV. The occasional classic doesn't hurt but there has been a lot of those already so I think we can survive for a short while. If the itch for classics gets too bad I can always check the older posts again

I don't think you can go wrong Israel, I'm really only interested in modeling tanks myself, but I am enjoying seeing ALL of the photos you post, even the softskins.

The last three pictures seem to be showing a privately owned Merkava. Does anybody have any info about it? It’s definietly not in Israel...

I've been looking on Shapeways for a conversion (wheels, cab) for the Revellogram Mack, seems like I read about one some time in the recent past, can't seem to find it. Any clues?

Looks like it could be an early model Merkava I with a mixture of pre and early model wheels.

I can’t quiet figure it out, but the number plate might indicate that this is the very first production Merkava (820001). Also note the odd location of the stretcher.

Great Photos Israel, I really like the photos of the MK I's without the side skirts. I'm going to do one of those I think, when the time comes. It will be a nice addition to the collection, being able to view the suspension that way.
