video of the parade celebrating 100 years of Oshkosh Truck Corporation.
On the 30 min. mark, on can see a FMTV M1083 with a kind of a tank superstructure. Could this be a military fuel tanker or an
off-road fire-fghting engine?

It may be a privately owned vehicle.
There's a sign with someone's name on the front and the extra hand grab bars around the front is something I see people add when they convert theirs.
There's an emblem on the side that looks like space theme ... a picture of the earth with something over it.
If it is military, it may be some sort of comms vehicle, but these are usually on trailers so they can be set up and left in place.

Frenchy it looks like you nailed it. Any idea what it is really used for? Fuel tanker? Bomb disposal? Crowd control water cannon truck???

I believe it's a movie prop, not based on a real vehicle...

As far as I know, the only FMTV Tanker was the M1091 5-ton Tanker. However, in present Oshkosh literature, that version isn't listed any longer. Here's a link to some info and pics. But, it sure doesn't look like the vehicle pictured here.

I think Frenchy is right, movie prop. I am fairly sure I see bullet holes in the rear tank.
