Does anyone have an easy method for painting WWII German Pea Pattern or Dot Pattern cammo? I have the Osprey #9 Modelling WWII figures but it only has #s for paints I never heard of. Besides.....I think some of the patterns look wrong. Is there reference material with tamiya or some other easily available paint brands I really can't get the full gist of the scheme off of the boxes. I mostly build just injection molded figures. The new set from Tri-star,the SP Gun crew, looks interesting. Thanks!

3 colors: pz yellow or khaki, red brown(dark) and olive green. Plus light green for spots. paint sectors of each, beware of sleeves, pockets and lapels. then dot afterwards. would recommend enamels over oils, easier to thin and apply dots.

There is a nice article in July FSM on W.W.II uniform painting with a variety
of uniforms including the "pea-pattern ". It list's all the acrylic color's by
Vallejo recommended for each individual uniform.
........I myself use color photo's & book's with re-enactors dressed in
authentic W.W.II period uniforms, and match the color's by eye. ( works for me ! )
I prefer enamels & oil's, but when it comes to uniforms, especially camo - with
acrylic's you can complete an entire camo uniform in one session.
