I started this diorama about 2 and a half years ago. I have been building for many years but I don’t build many models. This one is nearing completion now. I titled it “On The Move” mostly for lack of anything better to call it. The bridge, trees, and telephone pole are scratch built. Figures are Tamiya and Dragon and still need some work.

It looks pretty good. The overall weathering and color of the truck looks good. A couple pointers though. The frame of the truck should not be black, but the same OD as the rest of the truck. US military vehicles are painted overall OD, all components. Likewise, the 55 gal drums in the back would most likely be OD as well. As boring as it is, almost everything the US military used in WWII was OD green. Also, the boots on the soldiers should be brown. The US military didn't switch to black boots until the '60s. Keep up the good work. A few more tweeks and it will be even better.

US Vehicles could be any color , as long as it was olive drab ! great job .

Another point; check your LHS for Testor's clear window glue. With small windows like in the enclosed canvas cab you can easily stretch a film of glue across the window openings in the cab doors. The stuff dries perfectly clear but a little wavy and does a good job of forming the "plastic glass" that would be in the canvas doors.

p.s. I very much like your wooden bridge, the deep ravine and the profile boards walling off the edges of the scenery.

Your Dio reminds me of my railroad modeling days!
