Hi,
Probably just for Ontario Canada members.
Did you all know the Ajax show will likely be history???
Bernie tells me he's done it for too long and no one wants to continue it.
This was the only decent show still going.
Looked forward to it every year.
I'm willing to give some time to it.Any one else?
We can ask the old guys for advise ,because i wouldn't know where to start.

A sad trend not restricted to modelling.
In my country I see the systematic decline of all kinds of local clubs and organisations ranging from modelling clubs to environmental groups.
Compared to 30 years ago there are now much more people who simply are not interested anymore to be party of "something" or they limit their interest to where they can make a direct profit.
Its becoming slowly impossible to find volunteers prepared to help organising something and when the old guard gives up, its usually the end.

The only decent show going?!? We're not exactly impoverished with shows in southern Ontario. We've got Heritagecon at the Canadian Warplane Heritage in Hamilton coming up on March 25 in Hamilton, TORCAN's back in late May, Well*Co*M*E in Guelph has started up again in the fall, AMPS Great White North at the Oshawa Tank Museum is happening on June 9-10 this year (come for the tanks even if you don't like the models!), and a bit further afield, CapCon in Ottawa (which was at the Canadian War Museum this past year!) and the London Scale Model Show alternate.
While I very much appreciate Bernie's efforts over all of these years and will lament Ajax's passing (if that's the case), I don't think that we're left without any good shows in the GTA and slightly beyond.
Hope to see you at some of these shows!
Cheers,
Scott
