Hi everyone.

This is my second diorama. My idea is that a SF patrol visits an Afghan village and find some taliban weaponry hidden.

I will use Bronco´s M1114


These are the figs I have so far



I will add some women and/or children. I am still looking for the right figures.

For the buildings I have been looking for Afghan or Middle Eastern compounds and finally found the right ones.

Real ones and their scaled replicas:



Of course, I have had to adapt them and the final result might be a little bit different from reality, but I am quite happy with the result. I have to add windows and doors, but main structures are done.






Unfortunately I lost most of the pictures I made when making the other buildings and their streaking/aging process.






What do you think of the colour palette? Have I hit the spot or missed it?

I like the texture ,going to look good when the wood roof poles sticking out

This looks very promising but I doubt that there are red bricks under the cladding. However, far from being an expert, maybe I should hold these doubts to myself.

In fact they are not red, its Flat Earth mixed with some flat white, both from Tamiya.

I put some tape in the door opening to place the planks.

I'm liking the way this is coming together. The small stuff like the varied sizes of lumber on the doors is great, it makes it look right, not like somebody chopped up a stock size piece of wood from the hobby shop. Yup, I'm following this one, too. Lots to like here!

Very impressive Agustin, beautifully constructed & loving your balsa-work too - maybe the planks/braces on the double-doors are slightly chunky compared to a figure (?) – just comparing proportions with the reference photo 6th down from the top. Whatever, great work - you’re even capturing the sinister look of those houses

Hi. Thank you for your advice, I will check it and work on it, I think that proportions are the right, anyway some more adjustment to fit the correct sizes would be good.

I have to apply a black wash and work on those logs coming out of the third building in order to normalize the wood pattern.

Watching the last pic, you MUST put a carpet inside the house once you place it.

It will be the wharehouse where weapons will be hidden. Anyway I will think about the carpet issue, I have not decided yet which will be the final disposition of the buildings.

Sorry for the delay on updating my progress.

Here you will find something that might be mindbreaking. As you know my idea was using a M1114 from Bronco but I wanted it to have a battleworn effect on glasses.

How could I do it? The answer is: cell phone screen protector made of tempered glass. These images belong to an initial test, I have to run more to get the proper effect but I think I am on my way to achieve it.



Of course, the piece I used is bigger than the window itself, but...It can give you all an idea of what I want to get.
