Looking good, I assume you will be adding some figures? What season will you be choosing to go with? A winter scene would look awesome, but so would spring groundwork. How tall and wide is the MG Bunker? Thanks for sharing your work.

Build these for a fellow model builder.

The first bunker Regelabu C1, approx 9cm x 13cm ,height 10cm
This one of the smallest mg bunkers build.

Second bunker Regelbau 1, approx 16cm x 23 cm ,height 13cm.

You know Maarten, if you can find a way to make these in sections for easy assembly you could probably sell them.

I do sell them ....all tops are removable so they can be furnished and all the rooms and doors and al the other things are in place exept th plumbing.
The people that are into model 1/35 bunkers know me well here in the Netherlands and some in germany.

He was the main reason for me to make my own,because his bunkers are pure fantasy and way to small in size and roof/wall thickness

I wanted to do one for my 1/6 scale Flak, but after looking at the size, said not in this life.
Maybe you could mold it up and sell it?
Might I ask what color for the concrete used?
I just cast a base in plaster for the M-110 I am making and put in some Poster dry pigment black , well after 3 times I am still out on the concrete color, and the bigger one looks to be a slight different color.

These are excellent. Amongst the best bunkers I've seen in miniature.

Did you make a mould and pour the plaster, kind of like the originals? If so is it solid or did you use a lighter material to bulk out the walls?
I ask because I have a similar project in the queue.....

Hi Jeff,
I have no strict concrete mix color,except it has to be matt acrylic paint so it can suck up all the washes.
The main colors are white ,black to make a light grey and some german yellow to give it a bit of a creamy grey color and the rest is weathering

Best advise is look at real concrete there many shades

Bonjour Sean,

Yes just like the real ones only smaller and with plastic instead of wood,
The wood planking i simulate by scratching th plastic sheets,always use two or 3 differnt thickneses other wise it looks to flat i use 0.5mm 075mm and 1mm
On pictures the bunker might look smooth but there ain't as you probably already know ....your country is full of (which is nice)

And this is my 1/35 bunker texture

I think it looks good.

I use special pouring plaster you can buy in artistic shops,
If the walls are going to be to thick i fill it up with some styropor/insulation/foam, board you get at the hardware stores.



Be sure you glue it securely to your base otherwise it will float up when you pour your plaster (wich is a pain in the @##$$ when it happens)
Love to see your work i never seen any other scale bunkers being made (the way i like it ) you can PM any time.

Yes, there are one or two bunkers here in Normandy (and France generally)... it's almost as if the Germans didn't want anyone to invade

Good tip re gluing the foam to the base. That's just the kind of thing I forget to do

I have a couple of other things on the go at the moment and really need to clear some space before I start with the fortifications.... they take up some space as you know.
