This civilian (Polish) contractor convoy transporting US Army M109A6 SPG's across Germany has recently been stopped by the Polizei for several transport infringements. The Paladins marking looks weird (to me at least ) :

The Paladins were en route to Hohenfels for Exercise Allied Spirit VIII.

Interesting. I have not seen the tactical marking on the sides and rear before. The bumper numbers look standard. It is from 1-7 FA, 1st Infantry Div.

Maybe it's for President Trump's big Russian style military parade --KIDDING
Seriously, I wonder why these weren't shipped via rail.
As always Frenchy you come up with some great images !
Thanks for sharing !

Just found more examples of similar tactical markings :
"1st Sgt. Adam Cook, the senior enlisted Soldier in Company D, 82nd Brigade Engineer Battalion, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, from Fort Riley, Kansas, inspects his unit's convoy during the Allied Spirit VIII training exercise at Hohenfels Training Area, Germany, Jan. 25, 2018."
Paladin again, same exercise :
"Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas, prepare a M1A2 Abrams to be off loaded from a rail car in Parsberg, Germany Jan. 17, 2018".

i find it nice to see vehicles in green again...God I'm sick of the sandbox and what it did to all those fine young men and women.

They are only temporarily in green for an exercise in Germany at Hohenfels Traning Area. The vehicles are still sand underneath, which is how the sand markings were made.
Check it out here.
Unfortunately, wars in the sandboxes of the world are not going away any time soon. War in Europe would also mess up a lot of fine young men and women.

Something funky about that Bradley, that a FIST vehicle or something? Love the cammo on that M1. Be fun to do one in that scheme.

The top one is a standard M2A3 Bradley. The second one is an M7A3 BFIST. The TOW launcher is replaced with a targeting box. Both have the new T160 tracks.

Those are all from 2nd brigade here where I’m licayed, Ft Riley.
It’s pretty cool, they just make the markings w Masking tape and then paint the temp green pain over it, remove the masking tape and presto, markings!
I don’t have the key right now that explains the markings, but I thought no the end caps on the square is company, chevron is the platoon and the dots are the squad.
You can find lots if these pics on Facebook look for 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division They are deployed to Poland/Germany right now. Coming back soon though.
