Also the prices seem little wacky. You can buy a 1/72 Linberg tank for $22.99 but the Lindberg B17 1/72 scale is $14.99?

That's a price tag switch if I ever saw one. I don't think it's even from the right department.

Its actually inline with what they have done in the past price wise. 25% of the retail. as with this past Tiger I bought there.

That's a close-out sticker meaning they aren't planning to restock that kit. And it is obviously different than the sticker on the other kit.

yes, but you wouldnt use a closeout sticker for an item thats staying in stock. so what would you like them to use when they re shrink but discount an item?

I'm just saying when my local HL puts that yellow sticker on something, it ends up on the back wall for a few weeks and then they all disappear. They did that with the Space:1999 Eagle models and I waited to long to go back and grab one so now I have to pay regular price at HobbyTown or get one off ebay.

The photo Kelly posted looks like an escapee from Burning Man.

The Panther also includes the Lindberg Sdkfz 222 kit, so it's a double kit. In case it matters the Panther is actually from the Hasegawa 1/72 molds which Lindberg made copies of decades ago.

The B-17 was one of the better ones back in the early 1970s, (better than the original Airfix and Revell things but they were all CRUDE) but it was 1/64th scale to go with S-gauge American Flyer trains. Lindberg did a pile of 1/64 scale cars and trucks and tanks once upon a time. I had a AMC Gremlin and the Tiger tank.

I built that B-17 while in bed with a fever when I was 10 or 11. For $14.99 minus 40% it'd be worth the trip down memory lane.

Thanks for the info on that. I think I will pass on them then.

I like what this guy did with the Sherman:

My oldest brother would have loved this. Thanks to these little "cartoon models" can help attract a new generation of modelers.

I was just about to make a similar comment when I read the above. That's very appropriately the "Steal of the Day"! Shame on Hobby Lobby!

Somewhat, Hobby Lobby's owners run this bible museum thing and they wanted to display the artifacts there IIRC. The artifacts were probably ISIS loot before they bought them, so there's that as well.
