If I recall correctly, most Stryker kits are basic versions, without some generic additions e.g. extra armor parts.
In order to build a Stryker with the bar armor one needs to upgrade their basic version to on with extra details and then add the bar armor, hence the requirment for two sets.
Eduard also does this, not only Voyager.

Its a marketing tool kind of forcing you to buy all pertaining kits. Ohh well I already order the ICV kit, so I can continue wirh this project. Thanks to all of you who took the time and effort toguide me in the right direction. Ill be posting my progress pretty soon. Till then thanks once again...

For anyone contemplating buying Voyager M1127 sets get
PE35200 as that contains the lot, slat armour, spaced armour etc about 30 sheets of etch! Of course it has a price to match

I want to build a Stryker with slat armor, but I seriously doubt I could handle that much etch. Sadly
