Hi new on this web site. I really need help from anyone who has built the PEA100 photoetch kit from Voyager. M1126 Slat Armor this kid is very cool, but the instructions are slightly confusing. I am currently on page 3 section "L" I cannot find parts "R" 52, 53, and 54 in any of the frets. By any chance are these supposed to be built from other parts in the kit??? Thanks in advanced. I do not have the etch set either, but first suggestion - have you checked to make sure you have all the frets?

Then, perhaps if you upload a picture of the instructions, it might give us a clue as to what you are looking for and then we maybe able to help even without the set

The instruction says B52, B53 & B54? Not "R"

Well the problem is there is no fret B nor any parts numbers that high in any of the frets. I even looked at the model kit parts and the b52, 53, 54 do not match to anything close resembling what I need.

You have 12 frets, but are they all different or do some match? Compare that to the picture to see if they have given you two of the same but you only need one.

Otherwise, the 2 very similar parts to be attached to your missing parts B51 B52 abd B53 are noted D5. These missing parts are not D1 D2 and D3 by any chance?

Good morning, yes they are all different. Parts D5 are 2 rectangular shape pieces and are already glued together as requested I have looked at every fret and try to match the shape of the pictures to the other parts but no luck yet. what I am about to do is to build the rest of the armor parts and see what is left at the end. I even wrote to Voyager page and have not gotten any reply. once I get home I will check parts D1,2,3 to see Thanks

If you provide good images of the PE frets we may be able to see what you have missed.

what CMOT is asking is can you take pictures of each fret and post them? I spent a couple hours before I went to bed searching the net and couldn't find any.

I fail to find those parts.
Where is the completed assembly, 2xD5 + B52, B53 & B54, suposed to be placed when it has been completed?
Photos of all the pages of the instructions sheet?

Could it be that the instructions describe a combined set?

So the instructions show a step using parts from a product that is not included in the set the instructions are from!

Ironic isn't it.... kind of like watching the matinee serial, missing an episode in the middle and trying to work out what is happening.

.... but then Voyager advertising shows a vehicle with several sets on it, so you really have no idea what is in each particular set and what you get for the outlay.

That way of making business stinks a little but once you have become aware of it you see the multiple product numbers on the images.
Showing all the etched frets in all their detail doesn't really help since it is hard to translate all those bits and pieces of brass into what it will look like when finished without the instructions. Reviews to the rescue I suppose ...

This is a quote from a review concerning voyager products lol
"If you want to do a long term project then get yourself an AFV Club Stryker and one of these sets, you will undoubtedly have an awesome looking replica at the end of it, that is for sure, or you will go stark raving mad trying."

I am well aware of the habit of showing all of the products on a model without clarifying what is in which kit, but to show a step in an instruction sheet for parts not in that set is plain annoying.
