Yes, poor fit in several places and some missing details that should have been obvious to those cutting the molds. Still looks impressive when done, but could have been much better.

Sad to hear. I have had some plans to biuld some other Takom's kits. But I will think twice next time.

Well, I have just finished building the Takom M3A1 Lee and it's an absolute joy to assemble. The fit and detail is absolutely first rate.

Just to provide a perspective on a different Takom kit

Hi,Paul! I was very dissapointed. I will make a final coclusion about Takom for myself when will do their Skoda PA-II armored car. Perhaps, I was just unlucky with this Mark IV and this is not a quality marker.

Looks pretty good to me Artyom!

I have built Takom's Gepard and Cheiftan and apart from the Gepard rear hull have found both to be very good quality and accuracy. Their bevelled edges for corners takes some getting used to, but the rest was fairly good. Hopefully the Turtle will be less problematic

Well the kit’s shortcomings are one thing, but your work looks like pure quality to me. I suspect you are a Perfectionist – so am I & the problem is always that the result never, ever matches up to the goal in the mind. However take consolation from the fact that the rest of us can see you are a gifted model-maker & that with your skill you will win the fight with this kit to make something quite exceptional. Bravo

Greetings,Tim! Thank you for your words and for support also! Indeed. I am perfectionist and you are right I am very rare happy with the result. Always think that something could been better. But I fight with this
I think this stage was the hardest on this model, so I can concentrate on detalisation.

But Takom has more problems with them than WW1 tanks. :-)
Yes. My first Takom kit was the 12.8cm Flakzwilling 40.
Same problems with the kit?
Sad to hear. I have had some plans to biuld some other Takom's kits. But I will think twice next time.
Hey guys-- I'd ask you to consider the alternative to the Takom kit-- which is the very expensive Tamiya MkIV, or the ancient Emhar MkIV. Tamiya's is nice, but very spendy. It's fit is exceptional, but it still has detail issues. Takom's kit may have some fit issues, but you haven't seen fit issues until you've built the Emhar version. I for one have built several Takom kits, and like any kit, they all have peculiarities. I applaud Takom for bringing out these kits that others have overlooked for so long, and as Modelers, we should be ready to "adjust things" if needed occasionally! Artyom's extra work is beyond exceptional though, can't wait for this one to be painted!

Hello,Russ! Yoy are right!I remember how terrible was old Zvezda,Alan and some other old Russian manufacturers. Seems to me I became old, grumbling and squeamish
I have Skoda PA-II from Takom. It will be interesting to build it and make a final coclusion
