The BAE system armored cab of the HIMARS truck looks very similar to the Stewart and Stevenson LSAC of FMTV trucks.

No clue. It says above that it was released last month, but I can't find it anywhere yet.

Since the chassis is a Stewart and Stevenson FMTV, that would make sense. The cab is probably also built by S&S and is a modified LSAC.

The cab in this kit is an early version of HIMARS, as used by USMC in Afghanistan around 2007-2009. Currently used version is different, so the kit cannot be build as current standard Army vehicle without significant changes (although the original early vehicles might still be in service as well, I don't know).

I've seen it on pre-order from some Japanese retailers. It is running ~$100. I may have enough pennies saved up to buy this, by Christmas.

I wonder how close to the m-1090/ 1157 Dump truck the chassis is. The armor on the cab looks spot on.... wheelbase would probably be longer than the dump though....have to see, I got history to build LOL
