I got a new and big kit. It´s really a gem and I´ll have a lot of fun with it:

Finally I get to set my eyes on the content of the box. I'm so jealous. My wife would kill me if I bought that...

Dude, how big is this model? Do you have a garage to park it afterwards?

The Ratte is nearly the size of a 1/35 Tiger is 1/144, so 1/72 would be 8 times that.

Judging from the photo it's smaller than a 1/350 scale aircraft carrier or a 1/32 F-14 Tomcat.

Hmmm.....
I suddenly got this idea about building a 1/72 scale Gneisenau. Need to put back the removed third gun in the turrets ...
Maybe I was out in the sun too much today, something cold to drink and then lay down for a while

Hi Tobi,
seeing this "little" gem I suppose we (the Germans) would have had to widen the German Autobahns a bit for this one to move around!
And as you told me about your plans on the phone I can tell you guys that he has some mind blowing ideas in the pipe! But, naturally, I can't tell you, as Tobi would have to strap me in front of one of those massive barrels and push the red button!
Smiley! Looking forward to seeing it tomorrow!

It looks like the wheel units are each the size of a Sherman.

Wasn´t there an announcement of the Gneisenau turret in Norway recently? Then you only need three of the sets.

Your model is looking good Tobias. I can't imagine myself building such a gigantic monster.
BTW, you might want to lower down the blue hue in your last photos. Just saying.

Epic project of a monster cool model. I like the varied paint schemes...weapons' turrets to the main body.
Two suggestions...maybe make walkways or stairs over the huge exhausts for the troops.
Noticed there's no low level defenses...maybe add numerous ball mounted MGs along the front and rear. Keep up the fantastic work.

Does it despict a Kriegsmarine "Seeratte"?
