Who cares... They really recycle everything but who knows they actually do that with kit boxes, which is sorta "frugal"...

Most likely it was a practice print, hidden away on a tab, to test a machine. Ha ha.

Yeah, rather than recycling anything it was likely deliberate, a color or registration check or quick indicator for box assembly or orientation in the folding and gluing.
On the other hand, I had stamped metal toys as a kid in the 60s and 70s that were made from reject food can stock with the original painted labels on the inside.
