here is another model ive been working on.
this is the model i used to test out mig pigments, so the weathering isnt the best, but i used a variety of solvents etc.
this model, along with some figures, will take centre place in a dio im planning called, 'fetch the hose!'
cheers
joe

looks OK to me, looks like it has too much dirt on top of the turret. I just got interested in you book, my local library seriously lacks good reference books.
P.S. a light drybrushing of gunmetal in the tracks would help

Need to paint the inside of the gun tube flat black, I can see rihgt in and it looks greyish and shiny. Otherwise, it looks great.

Ditto. I like the very dusty look of the finish. the tracks have a very nice sag to them and the exhaust is top knotch. Well done

Great tank, my only suggestions are to "wear" the handles, headlight brush guard, hatch lids and opening as well as the tool boxes. I like to use graphite on my finger or metallic paint. But, it could just be a new dirty tank. lol

thanks for the replies,
the model is supposed to depict a russian reservist vehicle in the late 60's, hence the lack of markings. this also allows me to use figures wearing WW2 uniforms, as i was told these were in use for many years post war.
the lack of wear is because i intended it to look like a pretty well looked after tank, just back from exercises. saying that i might add some chipping etc to certain areas.
the tracks will also get a drybrushing.
cheers

My brother told me that the inside of gun tubes (at least on the M60A3 he drove) were not flat black, but, almost chrome color. Anyone confirm?

Yes they are. Just that it looks better in 1/35 scale if its painted black to give the part more depth

That is a nice build Greatbrit, really a fine finished model!
Nothing I can see wrong, except maybe a swipe over tracks to put some metal up but if sitting for a few days well then great!!
