Nice diorama there! Looking forward for the 1/35 version.
Is that the 1/72 Trumpeter Type 59?

Yep, it is so it needed a few alterations (like the barrel e.d.)
The 1/35 version is the T-59B (or II) so most is correct.

Work has started and the T-59II is everything it's supposed NOT to be but...I was warned for that and when things are too easy it spoils a part of the fun.
The Trumpeter tracks I bought ( box said it was also for the Chinese T-59 ) are a hell to build and...I needed a second box because there weren't enough tracklinks.
( now I have a whole lot of sparelinks and pins in my sparebox so if you need some....).
The sprocketwheel was to wide for the tracks so I had to make it smaller etc.etc.
I used a lot of PE on the turret to make it more real.
The Royal Model figure is nice.
Now, here's the idea...
Tank and figure will be placed on a perspex cover (27x12x6 cm) with a wood bottom
I will only add the yellow roadstrips so it will stay transparant.
On the bottom I will place rubble, roadblocks, fences, tires, bikes and protestsigns and banners so leftovers from the protest. Once in position the whole lot will be sprayed in a gray color and placed on a chinese flag.
I hope this will make a strong image of what happened back then.
A lot of work hascto be done, also on the tank which still is far from accurate but that's the plan.
