I haven't tooted our horn in a while and I realized something as I was looking at traffic information via the Alexa site, we are really busy lately! Our rank had almost crept back up to 30K and in a few short weeks we are back down to 23K. For those who don't know what the heck I am talking about Alexa ranks all sites on the Internet via spyware in their (and Googles) toolbar. They do very nice reporting and very accurate from what I have seen.
The other revelation I had is that Armorama is ranked in the top 6000 sites on the Internet for pages viewed. Our average recently is like 60 pages per visit. This is REALLY high and why that ranking is so much lower than our 22,800 rank for overall traffic. Our "reach" (the number of users hitting our site) has also gone up greatly in the past 6 months.
For those curious here is the data:
http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?&range=6m&size=large&compare_sites=&url=https://armorama.kitmaker.net/#graph
Under 20,000 here we come! :-)
Cheers!
Jim

Starting to get excited Jim? Congrats!!!
You can almost see this now. The latest posts side moves so quick now. A post that hasn´t been answered for a few hours almost slips of the page! Its almost necessary to go into each forum individually now to make sure you´ve seen them all.
It may be slow and hard work, but I believe alot of your dreams will come true some day soon. Long may it last!

Great to hear about the site's popularity.
Aren't multiple page views an artifact of having to go through a lot of steps to check out the forums? As mentioned above, we have to go into each forum to see what's new, so a dozen pages on a visit won't get you far. It's tough to be so popular!!
And I bet a different kind of figure model will be needed to get to number 1!!!

Hi Jim
I do that, but as PlasticBattle commented, it's often out of date very fast! Most of the time I go to the individual topic forums because the latest posts are not necessarily on topics of interest.
Of course, if we set out preferences to show 50 messages per page, that can cut down on the page views. Or set it to 1 per page, and see what happens!! :-)
All the new flakbait stuff is bumping the traffic up!
Cheers

I'm guessing that the reason for the popularity of this site is that the forum is updated all the time, unlike some other sites where sometimes topics are there for days with like two or three answers(!!!)
Congrats Jim
