Hi all!

Here's my recently finished Tasca Sherman Jumbo. OOB with some stowage from legend. Crew is Miniart, still not happy with the eyes...

Any and all comments welcome!

And here she is on my photo base (also Miniart)

Cheers!

Stefan,
Nice job on a great kit. Finished one in the last year, might be my favorite Sherman kit that I have ever built. Thanks for sharing!

Cheers,
Rick

Very nicely done. Make sure the front Bogey wheel is pushed all the way down so the tracks make full contact with the ground. The tension of the tracks and movable suspensions often make the bottoms of the tracks curve upwards unrealistically (the real one has lots of weight pushing them down!)

Great looking model. The Jumbo is my favorite version of the Sherman, and I’ve got the old Tamiya kit I’ve been trying to make into a decent representation for years, got about 5 pounds of styrene lamainated to the transmission. I’ll have to break down and get the Taska kit someday.

Thanks, Jon. I found the fully workable suspension hard to have sitting the way I wanted, ended up gluing them in place. I recommend putting more of the foamy inserts than the instructions state. Might also make sense to put in some weight at the front of the hull to create the right effect. Well, maybe in my next life...
