Was talking to the Canadian distributors about this kit, they have seen a test build, and they say it looks amazing.

There is also a rumor that more M3 variants will follow.

If they continue the business model they have already established with the T-54/55 the rumor would be more of a solidly educated guess
Maximising the return on investment for the molds, reuse them for as many variants as possible

Well, they published their family plans some time ago. Amazing to say the least!



With some extra moulds they can do whatever they want, from welded to cast hulls, ARVs, etc.

It would be really nice if one of the late Commonwealth LEEs/Grants had the full set of British Stowage boxes, the aux fuel tank and the armoured engine air inlet. These were in in England for training and in the Far East in combat units.

The Aussie Lee has _some_ of the boxes, but not the whole set as I can see two places where there should be boxes and there are not. Also not sure if the aux fuel tank is there, but it doesn't look to be.

Some is better than none, certainly, but it would be nice to have the whole set.

Maybe if we are all really, really good; a very early Sherman I and II with interiors?

The Ram I would be easy enough with all the Lee/Grant bits they'll be doing. Look at the unexpected self propelled guns they did with the T-54/55 bits.

But there are too many little differences in dimensions and fittings to hope for an M2 and M2A1 medium.

Given the way the industry is going, it's nowhere near as hopeless to wish for an M2 as it used to be, but, yeah, it's still a pretty long shot.

However, with all the aftermarket bits available plus good drawings, a slab-sided design and the excellent Takom or Miniart Lees to start from , scratchbuilding an M2 or M2A1 isn't very hard at all.

I did one based on the ancient Tamiya Lee 25 years ago. It was the master for Commander's kit.
