Hi,
I'm starting my first diorama on this website. The action takes place during the Dnieper-Carpathian Operation, somewhere in western Ukraine in 1944. At that time, it happened a lot and quickly, that's why I called this diorama "Beehive", but this is not the only reason, more later.
I would like to show the scene more or less like in the picture below (of course with one vehicle and fewer infantry).

At the beginning the main actor, Stug, from this set:

Hi Kuba,

This looks interesting. I will be watching your progress.

Your StuG looks great!

The photo - interesting how dark the cannon barrel is on the lead StuG but the second one looks the same color as the rest of the vehicle.

The next step: beehives. Made of balsa and a piece of branch.

I saw such beehives in the Folk Museum in Kolbuszowa and the Opole Museum of Rural Architecture (in Poland). Here are some pictures:

Looking forward to this diorama. I'm always looking for unusual items for small vignettes/dioramas. I like the bee hives and have saved your photos for future reference.

Love the beehives!

Apparently Aber makes photo etch bees in 1/35...

Only remark would be that you forgot to add the triangular armor piece in front of the commander's cupola.

Looking forward to your progress.

Marc

Yes Kuba I agree, this is amazing work!

Your work is very clean all around: Stug, beehives, background structure, turret,..and the base has me curious.
I'm guessing a tree will be added in the lowered corner or...?
Looking frwd to your next progress!

Cheers
Dave

Thanks for the comments
I'm going to add two trees in these places:

I found a bush that will be a good base for making a tree. I'm sure my grandfather will not discover when he loses two branches

Hi kuba. I like this one. Who would of thought of bee hives. Duh, we had apple trees and hives for them growing up. A nice life like addition to the barn scene. Some thing so simple to add and over looked. I wait patiently to see more of your work as it comes together.

Kuba , beautiful build . I really like how the Stug turned out . IF that's snow , then it looks very good and life like on the ground . Very cool all round !!!
