Biggles,

Really nice. Mies van der Rohe would be thrilled with this excellent "less is more" scene. I would enjoy seeing the figures up close - the Poilu looks especially well painted. Love the weathering of the FT-17. The fence and background groundwork adds to the scene instead of being a distraction.

Very nice job there Leo, I saw one of those streetscape kits at an online shop just before you posted this. This therefore further confirms the quality of this new Flyhawk offering especially with the work you've put into the scene and adding the figures. How was the PE fencing material to work with?

Very nicely done, Biggles! I'm always impressed at the level of detail the Braille-scale folks are able to get on such small vehicles/figures & yours is no exception!

Hi Jan. I was inspired by a Flyhawk dio base, and realized I had all the necessary ingredients to make one - some brick and block vacu-form plastic sheet, grass mat, and model RR streetlamps and flowers/plants, and the PE fence and gate. The PE fencing is made from heavier than usual brass, and holds up very well, and cuts with a wire cutter. I built it all on a 1/43 plastic car case.
The Reedoak figures are much better than I expected, and I'll probably add 1 or 2 more to the dio/vignette. The best figures for the best models!

Well Leo, you sure surprised me and really showed off your skill on "scratching-up" this vignette from material at hand. It's obvious that I didn't look too closely at the Flyhawk kit but then again the picture that I saw of it was quite small. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it? And now that I look at it your fence is different from the Flyhawk one. Marvellous job all around.

Thanks Jan. You should post more pics of your great stuff, too! I'm also (occasionally) working on a WWl dio with MB and Roden vehicles with figs from War Department. Don't know when I'll finish as my preference is 1/700 ships.
