At the 2019 Japan model show dragon showed their new m60 avlb.
That figures, and you are all welcome. Have any pictures of it?
Indeed, my M48 AVLB kit was just delivered this afternoon.

Hey Gino, I see that PSM in Germany is now offering pre-orders on their M48 AVLB conversion. No bridge unit, just the launching vehicle.

Hello.
Today I received my Dragon M60 AVLB (3591). After a quick look over it, did I realize that they have not changed anything compared to their M48 AVLB Bridge equipment. That's why I posted it on this topic. Because, if you want to build a nearly exact model, you should read Gino's build here! It's a very very good reference!! Great job Gino!

Thanks for the compliment Andreas. Also of note, the Dragon kit contains hull parts to build either an M60A1 AVLB or an M60A2 AVLB as I did. Happy AVLB building.

Thanks Gino, you are right, the hull parts are twice.
One other thing I noticed, Dragon equipped the kit only with steel type wheels and not with the more modern aluminum wheels.
But nevertheless, it is a good basic kit! And if you like the challenge, you can build a nice engineer vehicle!

The steel wheels are more correct for a later M60 AVLB. The aluminum wheels were replaced with steel when they proved not to be as long-lasting and failed after a short time of use. Mainly, early M60A1s and early M60A2s used the aluminum wheels. By the mid-'70s and the M60A3, the steel wheels were back and remained.

My fault. It's vise versa, in the kit are only the older ones, not the newer.

If that is the case, you can only build an early ('60s - Vietnam - to early '70s) M60A1 hull AVLB from the kit. Later M60A1 hull and all M60A2 hull (built in the late '80s) AVLBs used the steel road wheels.
