Lord Blue Fin
This one is coming along nicely. The grill work looks petite on this one and you have applied it very very cleanly. Looks solid. Weld seams (i.e. the white?) around the vision slots? The metal tube looks good with the breech etc,--did that come with the kit or is the metal tube AM?
Keep us posted. Everyone says this is a great kit build--good luck.

Hi WWH..
Yes the kit comes with a metal Barrel.. very cool kit.. higher priced than Academy's.. but you get the metal barrel and etch.. and the detail is a lil better...
Yes.. I was attempting weld seams on the forward hatches hinge housings.. using miliput for the first time.. I think I went a lil too thick.. (LOL beginners nervousness!)... hopefully it won't stand out that bad once it's hidden under some paint...
thanks
charlie

Very nice work so far Tuna... Solid job on the etch :-) Sometimes those tiny screens are hard to get stuck to the tank without getting CA glue plugging the little holes... You did a bang up job on it :-)
What sort of paint job do you have planned for this little AFV? Are you gonna do that funky blue one? hehehehe :-)
Later-
Jeff

Wow, nice build so far. This kit looks real good, how is the fit ? Are the sponson areas covered by the kit hull ? Just wondering. Will look awesome once its got paint on it. Your doing a British Stuart V right ?
I'm thinking of getting this kit myself at some point. I just got the Osprey book on modelling the Stuart tank, and it has nice views of a Free French M3A3. Colorful markings make it look interesting.
Keep the pics coming !!
Cheers

That turned barrel looks whimpy compared to the Sherman and German barrels
