Hi, Fred!

Thanks for the "Heads Up"!

Now here's the thing- I'm thinking that this "new" LIFECOLOR CS 13 Flesh Paint Set COULD very well be a RE-RELEASE..? I have had a LIFECOLOR CS 13 Flesh Paint Set for nearly 6 years, now... The package that I have reads "Special Acrylic Satin Colors" at the bottom-left corner of the box top. Even the color codes are the same; UA 707, UA 708, UA 709, UA 710, UA 711 and UA 712. My set DOES have different art-work from yours on the box top...

Is it possible that LIFECOLOR MIGHT have re-formulated this new Flesh Paint Set you're talking about..? Just asking...

After nearly 6 years, the paints in my set still feel and sound very nicely liquefied when I shake the bottles, but the real proof will be if and when I actually open the bottles, stir and reduce(?) the paints properly, and USE them...

I have yet to use my set, and I've never even opened them, so I can't comment any further on their use or their various properties, aside from what you've just said in your post...

I'll second what Dennis said about this being a Reissue.
Same paint #s, Guy on the cover of the box has a full beard-more like a gladiator.


I would have to say, though, the drying time is way too quick for me. And most of my attempts at blending resulted in lifting of the paint underneath. I shake the bottle, then stir the bottle and the same thing happens. Thin it with water.

Unless someone has a technique or solvent that I should be using, I believe I'll switch back to oils.

Took me a while to wrap my head around this issue as well. Acrylic retarder would help with this issue. A wet palette might also help you out with the blending.

I do not know if this is a reissue but I will ask. Their new Caunter Camouflage set appears to be a reissue with the change of one color.

Since these paints are to dry matte, and the set you mention advertises satin, I will guess that it is a reformatting.

FWIW, the paint samples I brushed onto my thumb, they haven't washed off in 4 days!
