Yay. Glad to see this. Wondering if this would be as all new tool or a rerelease and if there will be new pattern tires (the box art shows a correct WWII period pattern)

Well, yeah. The correct WWII Tires would be nice, as would a PROPER WWII Dolly, as well... Here's hoping...

The original one was AF35S-06 and labeled M115 8in Howitzer, and this one is AF35321 and labeled as a M1 203mm Howitzer, so this might not be a simple reissue.

Also, a photo of the model on AFV Club's Facebook page seems to show different tires and a different dolly.

I am not going to say, "I CAN'T WAIT!!!" I'm a grown-up...

But I WILL SAY, "This is GOOD NEWS, and NOT something that I expected, and I WILL buy one or two of these, IF the AFV CLUB Facebook page isn't lying..."

I wonder if there will be an "updated" WWII 155mm "Long Tom", to match the M1 203mm 8-inch Howitzer..? It wouldn't take much to update an existing kit...

And then, there is the "Hope of Hopes" of many 1/35 WWII US/Allied fans- An M8 75mm HMC (Howitzer Motor Carriage) kit, based on their EXCELLENT M5A1 "Stuart" kit, which AFV CLUB advertised about 10 or more YEARS AGO, but never did put into production.

THIS would be a real boon for the WWII US/Allied modeler...

I have pretty given up hope on that one, so I'd consider it a miracle (and an extra expense) if it were to materialize.

Proper tires would be good IF they aren't vinyl. The resin correct tires are hard to find and added significantly to the cost of the build I did of this behemoth limbered-up with the High Speed Tractor pulling it.

If you note on the box art it does show the gun with the proper civilian pattern (WWII era) tires. As to rubber/plastic or resin tires on this model I will be happy to take what comes.

As to the earlier M1 limber, that would be nice however the later M5 limber is still correct for WWII use.
