I'm looking for a company that makes a Sdkfz. 6/2 (?).I think it's the half-track with the 37 mm AA gun. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I've seen this a couple of times and I think I'm in love. ( #:-) ) I've checked the Tamiya website, and I didn't see it. Thanks for your time.

I think you mean SdKfz7/2. Tamiya did make one nut I think that it's been out of production for a few years. May still be a few in model shops or online

Tamiya kit 35144. Comes up regularly on eBay. Should be about $20-22 range.

Guys, MEBM is probably right...
going by page 183 of the Encyclopedia of German Tanks of World War Two (Chamberlain, Doyle, tech editor: Jentz, by Cassel, London, 1978) ( I have the 1999 edition):
3.7 cm Flak auf Fahrgestell Zugkraftwagen 5t (Sd. Kfz. 6/2). A total of 339 built untill 1943 (when production of the Sd.Kfz 6 seased). The 7/2 supposedly was only ment as an interim solution, as the sWS was supposed to be the carrier-vehicle. The vehicle had a crew of 7. The rearbed of the vehicle was similar to that of the Sd.Kfz 7/2.
The Sd.Kfz. 6 was also used to carry the 7.62 cm FK 36 (r) AT gun.
Tamiya indeed has a model of the Sd.Kfz 7/2. IIRC either DES Kit or ADV/Azimut did carry a resin model of the Sd.Kfz. 6. Which then has to be converted into a 6/2.
the Encyclopedia had been worth its price, IMHO... it gives a huge base for ideas for scratchbuilds and conversions of German armor, as this contains the vast majority of all the armored vehicles used by the Wehrmacht (captured vehicles included).

I have that book too, but unfortunately the grey cells weren't engaged and I failed to check the book before replying to the original request!

Okay... I found one...
so here it goes:
ADV/Azimut produces both the 6/1 (with Russian 7.62 mm AT gun) and the 6/2. The kits are not cheap by the way...
On of the companies that sells them is Elitemodell from Germany.
edit: I find out that the link only takes you to their starter page. You can find the articles when you go to "products", then full catalogue (otherwise you'll get their own manufactured products), and go to the ADVC/Azimut site. The listings are in German, but should be clear enough. Prices are in Euros...
Cheers,
Harm
