Mae west painted up last night. Also added a satin varnish to his Irvin Jacket, which was a bit worrying at first as it seemed very dark ,but over night the jacket has gone back to its original shades - phew;

Handy having your own Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel (Louis) for reference;
So painted up the 1/24th version;
'Actual size'
In between adding the various layers of blacks/greys/whites onto 'Louis' I also got on with the pilots '1939 pattern flying boots';
Where's Your Head At? (Basement Jaxx)
Need a coat of matt varnish as does louis, and the boots need some light dirt added to them.

Very nice... I might contemplate this figure in the future, since I have both a Mossy and a Tiffy in 1:24...

SOMEONE, meaning the plastic model kit manufacturers, needs to produce a "PROPER" state-of-the-art Spitfire Mk.I in 1/24...
I'm a 1/48 aircraft-builder myself, when it comes to aeronautical subjects. I've been thinking about making an exception to my "rule" by getting a KINETIC 1/24 P-47D... The drawback there is that I shudder at what it would cost me in total, after buying additional PE and resin, etc "goodies", in order to bring it up to my own personal standards of model-building...

Dispersal chair painted, after been stripped of its very brightly painted design, Had to sand back the print and add a layer of Vallejo putty to smooth it out a bit;
