I have been working on my new project. A diorama combining figures and a helicopter flying. About to land on a rooftop to reinforce some troops holding the building. Or something like that.

Looks like some good choices. How about posting in the Aeroscale Rotary Wing Forum, the helo side of Armorama? It would get more looks from those interested in helicopters.

The concept is something like this:
Where that is supposed to be the top floor of a 3 story building. Now I am thinking of just doing the roof area of the building. We will see.
I must say that the Kitty Hawk kit left me very dissatisfied. lots of problems with the build: warped parts, bad molding, confusing instructions; the whole lot! definitely not a model for beginners!
Anyways here are some pictures of the build:
This is the modification I did to stick the wire to hold the helo in the "air":
Some of the tricks I had to use to correct the warping:

Hi Marcos,
I always enjoy seeing your builds - looks like you’ve got another (complicated) great build under way! Keep up the good work -
Cheers
Nick

Marcos,
This looks very nice. I especially like the subtle weathering on the bird. One note-I might darken the blood on the wounded troop. Im on blood thinners and spend a lot of time in the brush and bleed like a stuck pig. Other than where it is "flowing" it turns blackish almost immediately. Up to you though
Jeff

Very cool subject, and nicely done. Small niggle - neither the diamond shaped NOD mount nor the Ops Core were in use back then.

Yeah, I guess I was just waiting for that. Nor are the webbing, fatigues, or the combat boots, because everybody assumes it goes back to Gothic Serpent. So I am not trying to date my dio, but the yufan figures looked so cool that I said what the hell.

All done with the soldiers.
And decided to add this casualty, modified to the correct ethnicity. It is a Paracel figure with a Hornet head:

I saw this idea to represent a rooftop without having to do the hole building. I think I am going to go with something like it.
And I still have to work on darkening the blood. I didn't darken it enough.

Thank you Colin and Dave.
Yaroslav, I guess you meant stolen "FROM" you. I was not aware of that. The poses are different from what I see you offer, but I guess parts could have been used in modeling the figures and accessories. Since several "reputable" Hobby shops offer them on the web I never thought there was copyright infringement.

I have been working on the base for a couple of days.
The roof stair enclosure will serve as the base for the helo. I did a small canal on one of the corners of the enclosure where I will embed the tube that will receive the support shaft of the helo.
