Yes, the intent is a command/communications post. Lots of radios and phones inside. I hope to find a German switchboard and I am planning a fully extended telescoping antenna mounted at the rear of the bus.

hmmm photo didn't "quote" - but in reference to the bus interior & chassis above.
is the body removable on the finished model? or is this an "under construction" photo?
if I am putting an interior, I like the roof not to be permanently attached. maybe use some magnets?

... I hope to find a German switchboard...
Mike,
Plus Model #440 is a US telephone switchboard set:

You might use it-with slight modifications-to represent a German switchboard.
Info about German Line Communication equipment(pictures and explanation in a pdf. file) can be found here:

I think a "Feldklappenschrank OB 17 zu 10 Leitungen" will fit well inside the HQ Blitz KOM,

Thanks Angel, I very much like the Switchboard with the attached rotary dial!
I will be on the lookout for that Plus Models kit.
I kick myself in that a number of years ago I could have had a US Field Switchboard FOR FREE and I passed on it. What was I thinking?
