I am looking for photos of the interior of a Sd.Kfz 251 (Ausf. D) late, the one with wooden benchs, to check the colour of the bench and backseats.
While the early, cushioned, ones were black I am not sure if the late were the same. Do not know either if the wood was painted...
Any help? Have not been able to find anything on google
Thanks!

Try this site. It covers all models of Sdkfz251, but you should find something of interest here:

It’s not clear to me that the wooden seats were unpainted. As the vehicle is open to the weather, painting to protect them (as well as it being much easier to paint the wood if the unit was assembled first) does not seem out of the realms of possibility.
