This really is something else, fantastic. How did you work the blue foam - cut each brick (surely not?) or indent the mortar lines? Either way it’s perfect

This looks amazing! When you can, could you please explain on how you scratch built the U-Boat? I’ve built the Bronco XXIII and always wanted to do the Accurate Armor VIIC but didn’t want to spend the money. Great work!!
Thank you.
Thank you.

Tim,
Yes i did cut out all the stone facings separately.
First i pressed the foam with a steel scrubber and a stif tooth brush to get some texure .
Than i cut strips from a 3mm thick Blue Foam sheet with A strip cutter in to strips and cut them to size with my chopper ,
And glued them on with wood glue .
After it was dry,
I made some plaster and coverd it completly with my hands so every seam was filled wait for a minut or so..... and wipe it off with a damp cloth.
That's it

Chris ,
I got the deck made, bought several books and detailed plans.... and build it from plastic instead of wood.
The Accurate Armour is a solid piece of resin all the flood holes are closed up.....a real pain in the to open them (NICE) up
You could also get the Scale 75 type 7 c bridge
https://scale75.com/en/figures-135/697-u-boat.html
safes a lot of work especially with all detail in the conning tower.
The deck part is the hardest part of the build,
if you want a later war boot it easier because of the simplified wooden deck .
but if you want an early to mid war boat i suggest to get a CNC milled deck from www.modellbau-wikinger.de .
''I see there closed due to maintenance ''
Get you self a set of plans

Or simelar
and build it.

As I said before man, this build rocks!
I was wondering if you have to seal the blue foam before paint and if so,what do you use?

Nice work Piet , good I see you chose the rungs . I live on the coast , wood and salt water don't mix . Treated tarred pilings ok , nowadays pt wood . The wooden ladder just didn't look right in a quayside setting . I also like the fact that the rungs are inset into the quay and not just there exposed and banged up against by ships and boats .

Last section added and primed,
Thinking off also adding a AA position with an Italian FLAK used by the Germans .
Next.... Slabs of concrete on the topside/road
