Have you ever seen a photograph and thought "That would make a great diorama!" Well, here's your chance. Though a dio isn't required, a copy of the photograph does need to be posted.
Here are the conditions:
1. All scales
2. All eras
3. No previously started kits
4. Dios welcome
5. Aftermarket add-ons welcome
6. The photo of the subject you wish to reproduce must be posted in the campaign thread
7. At least two in-progress pictures posted in the campaign thread
8. At least two pictures of the completed model in the gallery
Any subject is welcome. It came be as simple or as complex as you like. One additional caveat is that all markings on the model need to be the same as in the photograph including bumper, hull and tail numbers.

I am still on the fence. I have to look for a suitable photo. Last year, I made something similar in small scale about a photo from October War's Valley of Tears.
I have a build log for this.
Valley of Tears build log
I'll be sure to enlist when I find a photo.

Having done an earlier Build a Photo campaign, I'm up for this! (Many of my builds are photo-based anyway...)

Will build a diorama, and spent couple of hours trying to decide what to build. Churchill AVRE would be very interesting, but there's always some extra. Like these nine guys sitting on background in bridge demo/trials
Not sure if I want to build two kits, but perhaps fascines being fasteneded on AVRE. Is the truck Studebaker 2 1/2 ton 6x6? At least ICM has kit of it.
(Now I understand the "victims" joke above...)

Now enlisted ... time to start narrowing the search down for my photo I intend to use as the base .. I do have an idea forming ..... and Pasi, that pic of the Churchill AVRE just on its pivot point on the bridge is brilliant, would be great to see that.

I have chosen this scene.
Tiger I number 332 - Pz.Abt. 101 - Normandy Front
Gives me the chance to build a Tiger I, Mid or Late not sure yet, an Autumn forest and figures.
Will gather information on this particular Tiger and what the problem is with the machine when possible.

Hello.
Watching the results of Eric's weekly photo digging on the net over on ML, (my Saturday morning wake up with a coffee), this time I was intrigued by the 2 Tiger I photo's of the (I believe) SS Pz. Abt. 101 Normandy Front. I have some question about them.
Is this a 'late Tiger I' we see on the photos?
Are there better photos of this specific Tiger I with Noº 332?
Very interested in the camo scheme...
Location of the photo taken...
Who are the men we see...
I understand from the difference in photos, spare tracks are gone from one of them, so they might have changed some tracks / there was damage...
I want to build this Tiger for a project / campaign on Armorama in 2020.
So help is needed from the Tiger I specialist group.
Thanks in advance for any information that would give me a better picture.
My subject for the 2020 campaign 'Building a Photo'
Kind regards,
Robert Jan

Hi Speedy, after having a look at the 2 photos I would say that the crew have pulled into a safe area for track maintenance. Looking at the top pic you can see the right hand front mudguard is raised and crew are working in that area, so they may be splitting the track ( Splitting the track is usually easier done near the drive sprockets) and then in the 2nd pic, the vehicle hasnt moved by looking at the tree positions behind it and also you can just make out the outline of the actual sprocket ring on the right hand side where the track is now split and what looks like the Veh jack is being used, and as you mentioned the spare links from the turret are now removed. As to mid or late model, I would say its the mid model as I always thought late model Tigers had only the 2 steel wheel set up fitted where as in the pic this 332 has the rubber rimmed overlapping 3 wheel set up. hope that is right and I am sure if its not correct about the wheels, someone will help out. John
