Hee hee, I've already got one of these figures. My Dad carved out of wood, it stands in a dark corner of the lounge because my wife hates it!
I don't think your wife would be able to hate this one, it is only 1 mm high. She would need a really good magnifying glass to be able to see the "wiener".
She might accidentally remove it when dusting though ...
The 0.1 mm line in the image doesn't match up with the numbers given in those articles but for the sake of argument let's assume that the actual figure, from sole of foot to top of head is 1 mm. In that case he might be suitable as crew for a 1/1700 or 1/1800 scale ship model. If the figure is only 0.9 mm he would fit on a 1/2000 scale ship.
My dad had a carved wooden figure of a man in a black coat. When you tried to lift it the part with the head, arms and the whole coat was loose. When it was pulled up a spring loaded object peaked out beneath the lifted coat.
Very humourous ....
