Were there any IC firefly's in Normandy?
Looking at some photo's they look mostly like VC's.
Had an idea for a little scene of the firefly and Cromwell driving on the road towards Villers-Bocage but might have to rethink.
Just ordered the 1/48 Tamiya kits.

cheers

The Canadian Armoured regiment The Fort Garry Horse had both the Firefly IC and IC "Hybrid".
The pictures are of The Fort Garry Horse along with other units liberating Groningen Netherlands on 14 April 1945. The regiment landed in Normandy on 6 June 1944 as a part of the 2nd Canadian Armoured Brigade. They fought in North-West Europe until the end of the war.
I hope this helps you.
Cheers

Having done a bit of research I found some info on one particular vehicle 3C Firefly of the 23rd Hussars and found a great photo of it
located in Putanges late August 44.

Thanks for your efforts

They didn't arrive in Normandy with them though, these would have been attrition replacements from Mid Jul onwards. Just about every Unit with Fireflies would have had 1c's by late Aug

I agree that the 1Cs would be replacements. My info came from Dennis Oliver's Tankcraft book which has a table showing the allocation of all Shermans and the type as at June 1944.
