Found this pic ,
looks like a piece of the shield is missing ( i like it )
Makes sense with the damage that one of the grenades made on the left side off embrasure.
That's it for today, otherwise i might overdo the Damage.

Basic colors are on,the black outlined bricks i will do with a paint marker ,I tried it with a brush wasn't a great success,
painted two trees more to come .
The damaging will be scrapped/cleaned out and get some light grey washes when al is done.
That's airbrushing for now ....will work on the gun this weekend.

Whoa , whoa , whoa , wait a minute bro , if you're going to quit on it then you've got nothing to lose by putting a dark translucent wash over it making it barely visible . It would be a shame to can a beautiful built bunker .
Just my 2 cents Piet , have a couple of cocktails and think it over .
A little real ground grasses and bushes in front of the bunker with the wash will take the eye away from it also and make it part of the scene ...... whaddyathink ?

Gee Glenn I wish you'd stop barging in 10 seconds before I post!
As I was about to say...it only looks like a cartoon until it’s weathered. I’d douse the whole thing in a pale khaki/greyish wash & then go for more detailed fading/streaking/staining. I’m a broken record about this but pastel dust would be ideal to use on it. If there’s anything wrong maybe I need to be persuaded that the gun was seemingly intact when the bunker’s received a serious pounding – suggest the barrel should be deranged in some way? Some weeds would help too

No way, Marteen!! It´s unacceptable you quit from this dio!! I agree with the others, and give it some washes and weathering.
Keep on, buddy!

cheyenne,Tim and Nacho,
Thanks for the encouraging words, as I said before, too much plaster modeling time, I'll look at it again with time.
In the meantime i have a go at a plastic kit.

I will join the peanut gallery here and agree. A wash or 2 and then some dry brushing and chalks. This is still doable. I firmly believe the real bunker looked very garish in 1944 when first painted. I have also found working in plaster that some careful sanding with sandpaper can bring excellent results!

Hi maarten
I'm sorry I suddenly lost contact with the diorama but something was missing and I......
It's not just a shame to abandon the construction,it's a crime, if I download the picture to my local club, the first thing I see is a lot of Wow,if I say I'm abandoning it because I don't like it, they'll say I'm crazy
I totally agree with cheyene and Jerry,Tim and Nacho, combine it with something else in a single diorama, with the ways they suggested to you
I understand you, white is something I hate in dioramas, because it spoils your mind, I hope ,or maybe I'm sure you will make it to be a diamond now or then
