Unfortunately there are no figures included, but these by Tristar are excellent:

The afv club nashorn is the most accurate of them all according to pmms.

It's not just Tamiya at high price take a look at the Hasegawa 1/35 King Tiger £55 and you get 2 piece vinyl tracks no photo etch 2 piece barrel.
You can get 2 Hobbyboss king tigers for that price with photo etch and metal gun barrel.

Your link points to a review bon this site. Checking on Terry's PMMS site he seems to only have a preview not one of his extensive reviews so I don't know where you got the "The afv club nashorn is the most accurate of them all according to pmms." from.

As far as I'm aware the most detailed Nashorn is the later kits by Dragon, recently reissued as a 3 in 1 . Also the Tamiya one came out after any reviews on the other kits.

Kit prices have always been a subject of lengthy and usually on the whole meaningless discussion as there are so many variables to take into account such as distance, supply chain, distributor agreements etc along with peoples perception of what they think the price should be.

In general terms some will forgo the detail and complexity of say the Dragon kits with its less than perfect instructions for the less detailed but better fit, engineering and instructions of the Tamiya products. It depends on your criteria and approach to modelling. Luckily at this moment in time you have choices with many manufacturers which a few years ago would not have been possible.

Apologies for misremembering. This is a very detailed sxs build comparison, the Dragon 3 in 1 vs. AFV.

It seems they are very close and my impression was the people in the thread were edging towards AFV, but the differences were minor. I personally own 2 Dragons and a Tamiya and happy with them all.

No problem. I read through the thread and know Tony's work, he loves his SPG's. Very fair and even handed outlook to the builds. Personally I find the plastic AFV Club use to be a little soft, and can something go too far when sanding etc but you could put that down to operator error.

I to have the Dragon kit, which I sold once, regretted so brought it again when I got the chance. It's the later 3 n 1 version, not the very early kit that had problems. There was a good build of it over on Military Modelling but that site with a wealth of knowledge and reference has sadly now gone.

So if you want to build a Nashorn you have three good options, Dragon, AFV Club and Tamiya. Each have their own little pros and cons but I feel sure whichever one is chosen you won't go far wrong.
