Hi All,
My latest finished project - based around the 1/35 M3 Grant kit by Takom. The figures are the plastic armoured car crew set which were reposed and given resin heads by Hornet.
Thanks for looking!

Hi Steven,
Wow, great figures, great looking Grant, but what blows my mind is the atmosphere. The dusty, oil spattered crew eagerly grabbing a hot brew, they look worn out, hot, tired, and in need of something to perk them up. You certainly posed them well.
Life's simple pleasures amidst the dust and fury of war. You nailed it, as far as I'm concerned.
Bravo,
Johanan

Great job Steven. I've always liked the Grant, a unique looking vehicle. Your composition and execution is spot on. Well don.

Nice composition! Going by their five o'clock shadows, I'm guessing these blokes worked a little OT and missed 4:00 pm tea time.
Cheers!☕️

Love the intimacy of this scene. The realism and grit are nicely done as well.

Thanks Johanan, I haven't done too many dioramas with figures and this one was rattling around in my mind for a long time! Only had the time to do it because of the lockdown.

Very good work !
Thanks! The heads are from Hornet, from various sets. The one blowing on his tea is actually supposed to be smoking!

Thanks Karl, I took your advice and submitted the photos for a feature.
The figures are all done with Vallejo acrylics over airbrushed zenithal highlights. There is some dirt and grease applied with oil paints, and the dirtiest ones got some enamel 'fresh oil' effects from MIG.

Thank you Mike, I suspect in reality they'd never let their beards grow out quite this much. Most pics I've seen they are pretty clean shaven but its an effect I always like when I see it done so thought I'd have a go!

Superb job & that 2nd photo’s worth framing. So many great details, and yet more details – those poms are actually sunburned! 11/10
