Far from perfect, PayPal has ripped me off in the past. . .
How exactly did they rip you off? Was it a matter of, you paid with PayPal, the vendor didn't deliver, and Paypal didn't reimburse you for your loss?
KL
[correction] PayPal "tried" to rip me off. ... Long story short, $150.00 was skimmed from my card in $50.00 increments. I had to scratch and claw with PayPal for months to get reimbursed. I think they just wanted me to go away. Just sayin,' we are vulnerable at every turn.
Gotta go build some figures now. Happy modeling!🍺

The article is from nine years ago. Is it still relevant in 2020? At what point, and under what conditions, is it reasonable to stop citing it?
KL
Even if
forty years had passed by, not sure I'd have let my daughter in a car with Ted Kennedy. In fact I'm right certain of it.

Why don't you give the entire cause of the War of 1812? Namely US troops made a failed sneak attack on Canada when they knew the British garrisons had been recalled to the war with Napoleon. After Napoleon was dealt with, Brit forces returned to deal with US. Ain't payback a beeyotch?

Who was it that beat the same British army that had just beaten Napoleon?

It wasn't so much that the Brit army was beaten by US as it was they beat themselves through incompetence, indecision, and lack of co-operation between army and navy.

This is old news. The owner has paid restitution. I've never had any problems with additional charges to my card.
Cheers
Charlie
Just a word to the wise about Michigan Toy Soldier— you might consider the article below involving fraud committed by the owner on none other than Peter Jackson before ordering:
https://www.candgnews.com/news/business-owner-serve-time-scamming-‘lord-rings’-director
You should read the entire article, since this appears to be a repeated pattern by the owner, who has been jailed twice now for fraud. Not that folks shouldn’t order from MTS, just watch your credit card statements.

Just sayin’ buyer beware. If he did it twice, it’s a criminal pattern, regardless of how many years between occurrences. He obviously didn’t learn his lesson the first time. There’s likely a higher probability of repeated fraud by a convicted fraudster than of Brits inflicting a second arson on the White House.

That's what I meant in asking about relevance. Does he have anything to do with the company these days? Even if he does, is he in a position to cause any problem?

My question is whether it is necessary to point out that Ted Kennedy was driving an Oldsmobile ("Just sayin'. . .") every time someone mentions they are considering buying a GM product.

Heavily buy from HobbyLinkJapan and BNA.
Other than those two, I frequently search the world for other goodies no matter who makes it or where it's from. If I like it, want it, I buy it!

Why? Because I wasn't giving ANY causes for the War of 1812.
Did you read what I wrote or just hit the quote button and start writing?

Sounds like exactly the
opposite of PayPal ripping you off; they reimbursed you for money that someone else stole from you. I just wonder if that 180-degree "correction" would've ever been written had I not said anything.
A perfect example of why it's almost pointless to ask for people's opinions on here or the internet in general. You can't tell reality from utter crap.

I have been a Squadron Mail Order customer since the early 90s without issue. I also use Tower Hobbies and occasionally Amazon. Tower Hobbies has always had super fast shipping.

Say what you will. I was attempting to fact check my PayPal issue when I couldn't login to KitMaker. Eventually, I was able to post my error. My apologies for any confusion caused on my part. ... Still, I don't like how I was treated by PayPal customer service.
