I just purchased a Czech Master/Tamiya Flakpanzer lV, Mobelwagen. What an unusual kit! It contains a couple of sprues of Tamiya's Mk lV, Some new parts by CMK for the superstructure and 37 mm gun, quite a bit of PE, some white metal castings, and a new driver's visor in resin - talk about a multi-media kit! Just wondering if anyone else has picked up a similar kit by CMK, and if the gun is worthwhile using or tossing it for Tamiya's version.

I have the CMK Bergepanzer IV. It is the old Tamiya PzKpfw IV ausf. H kit minus the turret with a resin cover to go over the turret opening, and some more resin, photoetch and white metal detail parts as well.

Hi Sabot. What do you think of your CMK Bergerpanzer (fit, quality, etc.)?

Hi Biggles2,
I have built the Tamiya/CMK kit. It can build into a nice kit if you use all of the PE and resin, white metal, etc. parts. You'll need to scratchbuild the cage that catches the spent shell casings. It's not a bad kit but I think Tamiya did CMK (they were partners on this venture) a disservice by letting CMK produce this kit and then shortly thereafter Tamiya released the new Moebelwagon kit. Sort of left their old pals flapping in the wind...if you know what I mean.
The Tamiya kit is superior to CMK . I took the PE sheet from the CMK kit and used it on the Tamiya kit. CMK was asking $49.00 for the multi-media kit but I picked it up for $19.00 on sale at a hobby shop i just happened to be passing by in W.Va.
I have rarely found a panzer kit I didn't like. This one is no exception. It's a good kit to have in your collection.

Right! I got my CMK Mobelwagen real cheap on ebay - no one else bid on it. Their loss, my gain! Sometimes you can really get lucky on ebay.
