i have ordered the afv club m16 MGMC meat chopper kit.
https://www.scalemates.com/kits/afv-club-af35203-m16-mgmc-meat-chopper--1217202

however, i am having trouble finding WW2 figures that will fit in the kit, primarily in the quad 50cal in the back.

does anyone know of a kit that will have a ww2 US soldier that will fit?

thank you in advance

The Dragon M55 kit came with a gunner that should fit the turret.

Other than the Dragon one, finding someone that may part with the old Tamiya M16 figure is an option. Otherwise, you will most likely need to modify some figure to fit. There are a few options of seated US Figures driving vehicles you might be able to use as a basis that may not require too much change.

Buy the Dragon M3 GMC with the 90mm gun - it comes with both a Brit and US driver. You get to build another half track then!

I did not think about looking in other kits. The kits above seem to be older and pretty expensive. I will see if I can find any jeep drivers and maybe just modify the arms if needed

Thank you

Mike,

I did an M-16 (AA half-track) for a Korean War dio several years ago and, while I chose not to put a gunner in the quad 50s, I used "THe Bodi" figures for the half-track driver and crew, which I portrayed as on the move.

The Bodi figures I used (available at MilMinWH) were:
- M8 Greyhound crew
- Jeep driver and officer

If I can figure out how to load photos (Kit Maker Gallery says you can't upload images to their "upload photos" site !) I'll post them for you. I think these figures worked well for my purposes.

Steve
