Sorry for the late reply. Just checked the kit turret and yes, the inward angle on the forward sides and roof is greater on the left side.

Thanks for the confirmation. I have a stack of Trumpeter kits so this point of difference helps justify the need to think seriously about expanding the stash. The Tamiya kit is surprisingly pricey to buy locally so I've not rushed to jump in.
