Apocalypse Now!
Sort of. The actual boat used in "Apocalypse Now!" was the later PBR 31 MkII as offered by Tamiya.

Hi Maarten
For a resin kit that flash is paper thin and should not be a problem. Most of it comes off with the slightest scrape of a sharp Xacto. Because it is paper thin the seams aren't bad ( I have built many resin kits and have broken more small parts when removing them from sprue trees on plastic kits alone, than I have cleaning up resin parts)). If that were plastic, I could see a problem. I have seen a few of their Riverine Series built up and they are beautiful. Best Regards, Mike

Have worked with their product before. Good stuff. A new Xacto knife blade should work wonders. Doubt that a steady hand could not handle the situation handily

Yes, I too can vouch for their quality. Masterpiece does quality castings, and I’ve met the owner, who stands by his work.

The flash is intentional. Since these parts aren't squash cast, an ultra thin barrier is added to the master to allow separation from the mold, especially when casting parts with openings. Three handled fuel cans are a good example. If more companies did this there'd be fewer parts. When I do this the "flash" often falls off the part without even doing anything to it.

Was just thinking the same thing; while not overly fond of resin kits/conversions I'll withhold judgement until I learn more about this interesting subject kit.
