We do have a Huey crew in the works, our plans are to do a Pilot, co-Pilot, and two door gunners preparing for a mission. The two pilots would be outside the bird talking and the crew chief/gunners would be loading ammo and such.

Re; Bergstiger comment on the VOLAR-era US soldiers, I strongly agree as to the OG-107 fatigues that were THE uniform prior to the BDUs coming on-line. All ranks wore them, and with the abundance of vehicles available to us today, that uniform would be a great compliment to the Cold War-era troops that seem to have been "misplaced".

M48, M60 series (all), M113, M114, M151, M38, M35, M123A1C, M49,,, The possibilities are staggering! Good God, where do I sign up?

Gunnie,,, "Elvis"?? What a Great Idea!

Gee! Thank God somebody wuz listening to me!

Heya, Dave,

Though I may be a little late, I figured I'd throw my hat into the ring for Vietnam figure suggestions:

---Shirtless troops loading ammo onto tanks/APCs or unloading ammo from choppers (gotta get the squint and doubled-over run right).

---Engineer team clearing a mine.

---Scout dog team.

---Grunts interrogating captured V.C.

---Wounded grunts in the midst of a firefight, one helping pull another out of the line of fire.

---AFV/engineers repairing a thrown track or changing out an engine.

---tunnel rat with gun and flashlight climbing into a spiderhole.

---Khe Sanh Marines hunkered down during an NVA barrage.

Keep those great products coming, Dave!

Aloha,

Johnny B

I dunno if someone already suggested these, but how about some 11-bravo (infantry grunts) on patrol, just walking, weapons at ready, you know, like the Dragon 2nd Armored guys in cammies (albeit WW2, it's the poses I'm after); or even some AirCav chopper guys either on the ships going to the LZ or jumpin' from the Hueys (Panda, here they are!) into a hot LZ? Plenty of pics around, nice to have some kits (plastic preferably, the resin kind's a bit expensive around here).

I must have missed this original post when my computer was getting repaired. So here's my wish list.

U.S. troops in PONCHOS/RAIN GEAR!!!
A WATER BUFFALO!!! (the animal and yes I'm serious)
Sniper teams (can anyone say Carlos Hathcock?)
Anzacs
ROK troops
Vehicle riding U.S. troops
Civilian dressed VC (not black pajamas, but dress shirt, pants, shoes, etc.)
Soldier taking a picture, or war photographer with another soldier giving him the finger :-)
M-60 gunner and loader changing ammo
Civilian children selling coke
French troops at Dien Bien Phu

And anything anyone else says. As long as it looks like the real thing, isn't too expensive, and from the Vietnam era I'll buy it.

Here is my wish list :
- Vietnam civilian in bare foot in many positions (working on rice plantation, fishing on the wood boat...)
- NVA troops (in military uniform : tanker, howitzer gunner, AA gunner, etc.)
- Doughnut dolly
- US mechanic men (recovering AFV, helicopters...)

Hope that will be come true.

Brad,

HobbyFan has a team of Vietnam era snipers. I just can't remember if they were Marines or Army,

BTW, I like your list. I think that a water buffalo would be so cool! Just think of possibilities in a diorama.

Oh, and Carlos Hathcock is my all time favorite sniper.

The Post BDU era of uniforms were not the OG-107, but the OG-507. The -107's were the green jungle fatigues worn in vietnam, and even through the mid to late 80's. The -507's were the permanent press uniforms worn in the movie stripes. The 107's can be seen in just about any vietnam movie, to include The Green Berets, and Platoon.

The OG-507 uniform consisted of straight legged pants with front and back pockets, the back pockets having flaps and a single button. The Blouse had but two pockets, each with a single button flap. The cap was of a baseball style, and was not adjustable. This uniform was normally worn with a white Tshirt.

I speak from experience on this... I've been in the army since 1980, and it is the uniform I was issued, along with the khaki Class B uniform. Now THERE was a uniform!

Please forgive my sense of timing... I was referring to the PRE- BDU era... *smax forehead*
